ASHLEY MAGOVERN, MD

Owner and founder of Manhattan Dermatology, Dr. Ashley Magovern believes in providing genuine, honest, and expert dermatologic care, and is proud to practice traditional medicine using the most advanced techniques and technologies. She has assembled an amazing team to provide her patients with the ultimate in care, kindness, and skill, and wants everyone to truly enjoy their experience.

Raised right here in the South Bay, Dr. Magovern had always dreamed of opening her own dermatology practice to serve the skin care needs of her own community. Today she lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband, an orthopaedic surgeon whom she met in medical school, and their two daughters.

COURTNEY PHILLIPS, MD

We are pleased to introduce our newest physician, Dr. Courtney Phillips. She received her medical degree and completed her dermatology residency at University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. She was awarded the Madeline Boccuzzi Award for excellence in dermatology, and served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Phillips has extensive training in general, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology as well as dermatologic surgery. She has a particular interest in acne, psoriasis, skin cancer screenings, and cosmetic dermatology. A new resident of Manhattan Beach, Dr. Phillips enjoys running on the strand, boxing, or cycling in the front row at SoulCycle.

Angelyn England, PA-C

A board-certified physician assistant who takes great pride in giving her patients the ultimate in professional and personal care, Angelyn England always takes the extra time to listen to and educate her patients. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Studies from DeSales University in Pennsylvania, then went on to earn her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.

Angelyn has extensive training in both general and cosmetic dermatology. She has worked in the field for 12 years, gaining valuable experience helping dermatology patients of all ages. Her expertise includes treating acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, warts, and rashes, as well as performing skin exams to screen for skin cancers. She is skilled in performing biopsies and excisions, and has also worked in dermatology research and assisted in Mohs surgeries. Her cosmetic experience includes injectable fillers, Botox, Dysport, sclerotherapy, chemical peels, and various laser treatments.

Jacquelyn Tran, MS, PA-C

A board-certified physician assistant who has been practicing in the medical field for over 11 years, Jackie Tran grew up in Orange County and graduated from University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to become a physician assistant and received her Master of Science from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. Jackie rotated at Manhattan Dermatology as part of her PA program, and after seeing Jackie in action, Dr. Magovern knew she had to have her on the team some day! So, after a few years practicing in Chicago, Jackie has enthusiastically returned to officially join the team at Manhattan Dermatology. Jackie is dedicated to the practice of medical dermatology as well as preserving and improving the quality of her patients’ skin health, integrity, and youthfulness. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her amazing husband and beloved American bulldog, Briggs.

Lauren Boos, MPAP, PA-C

Lauren Boos, MPAP, PA-C, is a graduate of the University of Southern California, and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at the Keck School of Medicine. She has been practicing dermatology in Los Angeles for the past seven years, working in both premier dermatology practices and a cosmetic medical spa. She found her passion in both medical and cosmetic dermatology with her favorite procedure is pilar cyst excisions. She has lived in Hermosa beach for three years and loves biking and walking on the strand with her dog, Chewy—with a hat and SPF 30+ sunblock, of course. She loves working out at Orange Theory, country music, and going to concerts. She enjoys traveling and her guilty pleasure is watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette.

Andrea Rozanek

Andrea Rozanek was born and raised in beautiful Southern California. She has over 12 years of medical and spa experience. She is a highly skilled, very personable, and results-driven individual who helps her patients achieve lasting change. With over 7 years of extensive CoolSculpting experience, she has been certified by Zeltiq and Allergan, having treated over 5,000 areas. She thrives on addressing each patients unique concerns through a customized, personal experience. She absolutely loves making her patients feel even more beautiful.

Kimberly Ducille

Kimberly Ducille relocated from sunny Florida to take on the California lifestyle, trading her retail background for a new and exciting journey into the world of skincare and cosmetic beauty. Kimberly is passionate about customer service and ensuring that every patient has an amazing experience here at Manhattan Dermatology. Since joining our team two years ago, Kimberly has now moved into managing our marketing, social media, special events, retail products, and brand partnerships. She takes pride in ensuring that both our mission statement and brand message is represented in a genuine and authentic way.

Jody Licup

Jody Licup is a long-time resident of the South Bay who has worked in the medical field for over 11 years. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things front office, and provides patients with a wealth of information about everything from our procedures to insurance details. Jody truly enjoys working with patients and helping them meet their healthcare needs. When Jody’s not at work, you can find her at the park or beach playing with her son and husband.

Amber Jana

With a passion for medicine, skin care and cosmetics, Amber Jana is a dynamic member of our back office team. Amber is a certified medical assistant and was awarded the Perfect Attendance Award at SCROC, where she attended the medical assistant program. We were lucky to have her join our team at Manhattan Dermatology! Amber’s passion for learning mirrors her love for helping patients look good and feel good. When Amber is not at work, you can find her working up a sweat at kickboxing.

Larisa Leal

Larisa Leal is a certified medical assistant with a joyful passion for quality patient care. While exploring the field of dermatology, she developed a new love and understanding of skin care and cosmetics—a love and understanding she looks forward to passing on to every patient. When Larisa isn’t providing excellent care at Manhattan Dermatology, she enjoys spending time with her son.

Angela Cardenas

Angela Cardenas attended UEI College after high school to become a medical assistant. She accomplished her goal of starting her career early and is excited for her first experience in the medical field at Manhattan Dermatology. Angela wanted to get into dermatology to learn more about good skin care and to help others find solutions to their problems. When not at the office, she enjoys going to the beach, listening to music, being with her family, and traveling.

Sidnia Neal

Sidnia Neal is a licensed aesthetician and has been in the skin care industry for over 10 years, bringing a vast knowledge of cosmetic-related treatments, consulting, and extensive product wisdom. She has a passion for cosmetics, makeup, and all things aesthetic. Sidnia resides in the South Bay with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, Sidnia enjoys family time, hiking, and prides herself in learning about, cooking, and enjoying various cuisines. She is thrilled to be a part of the team.
