varicose vein treatment
For leg and spider veins
Still the most effective treatment for superficial leg veins and spider veins, sclerotherapy is a simple and only mildly uncomfortable procedure performed by injecting Asclera (polidocanol) solution into the vein, causing the vein to collapse. The byproducts are then naturally resorbed by the body. The leg is wrapped with an elastic wrap that must be worn for at least 24 hours. Compression hose are usually recommended for 1 week, sometimes longer. Most patients can expect a 60-90% improvement. For some patients, sclerotherapy may be combined with laser treatment to further optimize the outcome.
