Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a simple and only mildly uncomfortable procedure performed by injecting Asclera (polidocanol) solution into the vein, causing the vein to collapse. The byproducts are then naturally resorbed by the body. The leg is wrapped with an elastic wrap that must be worn for at least 24 hours. Compression hose are usually recommended for 1 week, sometimes longer. Most patients can expect a 60-90% improvement.
